Kate W. Hall is the Author of Richmond Rocks!, the CEO/Founder of Richmondmom.com, and most importantly a wife and mom of three little kiddos. They live in and love the Richmond, VA area.
After launching her site, Richmondmom.com, Kate often received requests like “how did you do it?” and “how does social media work?” and “how do I build a brand?” so she created this site to help other women do just that.
Wait. . I just realized I was typing this about myself in third person. . . this is funky. Ok, this is just me talking about me. Here’s me, just talking about me (if you are really interested):
Family: youngest of four, world’s most hard-working mom (my mom, that is), great husband, three amazing chilluns
Upbringing: grew up in Bradford, PA, a blue-collar town in the mountains, home of the Zippo lighter and people who wear ski parkas 9 months out of the year. It’s cold!
Loves: literature, good red wine, particularly malbec, people (yes I’m a people person dammit, I won’t lie), laughter, the river, waterskiing, the feeling that I have after running (but not during), massages, pedicures, and any activity that involves someone rubbing my feet (I know it’s weird). Technology has become a big love of mine, my blackberry and ipad are never far away.
Inspiration: my parents, who worked so hard; the memory of my father, who died when I was fifteen, and always told me I was a really smart kid, my kids who think it’s cool to see Richmondmom.com out in the world, and great writers all over the world whose skills I beg the writing gods to shower me with someday.
Oh yeah, and moments like this, that take my breath away, cause my heart to flutter and remind
me what life is all about.
