Social media–primarily Facebook and Twitter–have been my personal assistants in building this business. When I crept on Twitter in January 2009 I had no idea that the people that I would encounter would become friends, confidantes, colleagues, and trusted experts.
The beauty? I met many of these folks in the comfort of my own home, in-between cleaning house, running the business and hanging out with my family.
I’ll be sharing much of what’s worked for me and how I’m able to help others through these tools on this blog. But in the meantime, I’d enourage all entrepreneurs to CREATE ACCOUNTS FOR YOUR BUSINESS. Sorry to yell at ya in caps, but honestly at least poke around and see what’s there, find out what other business owners are doing before you launch your own style. You won’t be sorry.
